TM Balance Inquiry: How to Check Load, Data, Promo Status and Expiry
"TM balance" can mean several different things, and the right way to check depends on which one you actually need. A TM (Touch Mobile) user might be looking for their regular load in PHP, remaining mobile data, the status of an active promo, when a promo expires, or whether their SIM is still valid. Each of these is a separate balance or timer, and each has its own verification method. GlobeOne is the broadly verified account-management app for Globe and TM services, while DATA BAL sent to 8080 is a free SMS command that returns remaining mobile data. Checking a private carrier balance is different from checking a PinoyLoads order status — PinoyLoads shows order and delivery information for the products it supports, not the recipient's private TM account balance.
If you sent load to a TM number from abroad, PinoyLoads displays the currently supported TM products or load amounts for the entered number. PinoyLoads has served customers since 2013, and browser checkout requires no registration, no KYC, and no sign-up. You enter the recipient's number and an email address for receipt and status updates, review the total in USD, and complete payment using the methods displayed at checkout. PinoyLoads does not expose the recipient's private TM balance.
TM Balance Inquiry at a Glance
| Balance Type | What It Means | Safest Current Place to Check | Important Limitation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Regular load | Peso-denominated prepaid credit usable for promos or pay-per-use telecom services | GlobeOne dashboard | Regular load does not automatically activate a data promo |
| Mobile data | Remaining MB or GB from an active data allocation (open-access or app-specific) | GlobeOne or DATA BAL to 8080 (free) | A promo can contain multiple separate data pools; display may vary by offer |
| Call/text allocation | Remaining minutes or SMS from an active promo | GlobeOne; some promos support offer-specific status commands | Not every promo has a dedicated status keyword |
| Active promo and expiry | Which promo is registered and when it expires | Carrier confirmation SMS; GlobeOne; expiry/depletion notifications | Exact expiry and stacking rules are offer-specific |
| SIM/account validity | Whether the SIM is still active and has not been permanently disconnected | Official SIM terms and TM support | Validity depends on top-up and promo activity, not just signal |
What Does "TM Balance" Actually Mean?
Regular load is peso-denominated prepaid credit sitting on a TM account. It can pay for eligible promo registration, calls, texts, or pay-per-use browsing. Receiving regular load does not automatically activate a data promo — the recipient must still register through a supported TM channel.
Mobile data is measured in MB or GB and comes from an active data promo. A single promo can include more than one allocation: open-access data for any site or app, and app-specific or content data limited to particular services. When open-access data runs out but an app-specific allocation remains, general websites may stop working while the named app continues.
Call and text allocations depend on the active offer. Some promo families publish their own status keyword — for example, an official TM FAQ lists EZ STATUS for specific EasySURF and related call/text status. EZ STATUS is not a universal command for every TM promo.
Active promo status and expiry tell you which promo is registered and when it ends. A carrier confirmation SMS is the safest signal that a promo registration completed. Official TM pages describe expiry and depletion notifications for multiple promo families.
SIM validity is separate from all of the above. A SIM can expire and be permanently disconnected even when it still has load, if the conditions in the Globe Prepaid SIM Terms — which explicitly apply to TM — are met. More on this below.
A positive regular-load balance does not prove that mobile data or a promo is active. Always check the specific balance type you need.
Current Ways to Check TM Balance
| Method | What It Can Show | Internet or Signal Requirement | Best Use | Limitation |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| GlobeOne | Data, content, call, and text usage status; active promo information | Internet required (mobile data or Wi-Fi); selected basic transactions are zero-rated on mobile network | Comprehensive account overview for multiple linked numbers | No desktop/web version; refresh may not be instant |
| DATA BAL to 8080 | Remaining mobile data | SMS capability (cellular signal) | Quick free SMS check of data allocation | Intended for data status, not guaranteed to return regular PHP load |
| *143# live menu | Promo, loan, roaming, and account menus | USSD capability (cellular signal) | Accessing current TM service menus | Menu choices can change; no fixed universal path for regular-load balance is published in current official material |
| Carrier confirmation/expiry SMS | Promo activation confirmation; expiry and depletion notifications | Cellular signal to receive SMS | Verifying that a promo registered or expired | A missing message alone does not prove failure |
| ROAM DATA BAL to 8080 | Remaining mobile data while abroad | Roaming signal on a partner network | Checking data allocation during travel | Requires the SIM to register on a roaming partner |
How to Check TM Regular Load Balance
GlobeOne is the broadly verified account-management option for viewing load and usage across Globe and TM services. After logging in, the dashboard displays data, content, call, and text usage status. For the most accurate view, pull down to refresh the dashboard or check again about 30 minutes after the last usage. GlobeOne is a mobile app with no current desktop or web version.
Some older guides mention BAL to 222 or calling 222, but current TM pages do not list either one as the primary modern method for checking regular load. If you open *143#, read the current live menu and use a relevant account or status choice if displayed instead of relying on a memorized numeric sequence, because menu options can change.
Regular load is not the same as data or a direct promo. When regular load is spent to register a promo, the promo allocations must be checked separately. If you need to distinguish TM from Globe Prepaid balance checking, see the Globe balance inquiry guide.
How to Check TM Data Balance
DATA BAL sent to 8080 is the most broadly verified SMS command for checking remaining mobile data. Current official TM pages confirm the command is free. Send the text from the TM number you want to check.
GlobeOne can also display data usage status. An advertised data total can consist of separate allocations — open-access data for general browsing and app-specific or content data for particular services. GlobeOne and DATA BAL may not format every allocation identically for every offer.
If you have regular load but cannot access the internet, the issue may be that no data promo is active, open-access data is exhausted, or only app-specific data remains. Check GlobeOne or DATA BAL before purchasing additional load.
How to Check an Active TM Promo and Its Expiry
The carrier confirmation SMS is the safest signal that a promo registration completed. Keep these messages as reference.
GlobeOne can show active usage and allocation information. DATA BAL to 8080 returns remaining data from an active promo.
Some promo families support offer-specific status commands. For example, an official TM FAQ lists EZ STATUS for specific EasySURF and related call/text allocations. Because the command is offer-specific, verify the instructions for the active promo before using it.
Official TM pages describe expiry and depletion notifications — subscribers receive text messages when certain promos expire or when data is depleted. Exact expiry and stacking behavior are offer-specific. For the current catalog of available promos, see the TM promos guide.
Promo Expiry, Load Validity, and SIM Expiry Are Different
These three timers are frequently confused:
- Promo expiry is the end date of a specific registered promo. When it expires, the promo allocations stop working. Regular load, if any remains, is unaffected.
- Regular-load validity is governed by the NTC-DICT-DTI Joint Memorandum Circular No. 05-12-2017, which established one-year validity for prepaid loads measured from the latest top-up. Globe expanded one-year validity to all prepaid load denominations in July 2018.
- SIM validity depends on ongoing activity. The current Globe Prepaid SIM Terms — which explicitly apply to the TM SIM Pack — state that an activated SIM can expire and be permanently disconnected when there has been no regular-load top-up for one year from the last top-up, or when there has been no top-up or promo registration for 120 days after reaching zero regular-load balance (or after a promo expires with zero balance). Incoming calls, outgoing calls, texts, data usage, and zero-rated or emergency calls/texts do not count as qualifying activity under these conditions.
Once permanently disconnected, the SIM cannot be reconnected, the number may be reassigned, and remaining load is not redeemable. SIM Registration Act requirements also apply. For a full breakdown by carrier, see the Philippines SIM card expiration guide.
How to Check TM Balance Online in GlobeOne
GlobeOne has no current desktop or web version — it is a mobile app only. To check TM balance online through GlobeOne:
- Download GlobeOne from the app store.
- Log in with the TM number. New logins or newly added accounts require OTP reception on that number.
- The dashboard displays data, content, call, and text usage status.
- Pull down to refresh for the most current view. For the most accurate allocation display, check again about 30 minutes after the last usage.
GlobeOne requires internet connectivity. Selected basic transactions are zero-rated when used on the mobile network, but mobile data must be enabled. Transactions that open external services can consume data. Wi-Fi also works.
Up to 10 Globe accounts can be registered in one GlobeOne profile. To add a mobile account, use Profile > Account Management > Add Account, choose Mobile, enter the number, and complete OTP verification. Only the number owner or a properly authorized user should link and manage the number.
Can Someone Abroad Check Another Person's TM Balance?
Only with proper authorization and account linking. The number owner or a properly authorized person should link a TM number to GlobeOne. Knowing someone's mobile number alone is not enough to inspect their private carrier balance, and users should never share an OTP with another person.
PinoyLoads shows order and status information for purchases made through its platform. It does not expose the recipient's private TM balance. PinoyLoads displays the currently supported products or load amounts for the entered number during checkout.
An overseas sender who wants to help a TM recipient should send load through a trusted platform and let the recipient verify their own balance using GlobeOne or DATA BAL.
Mobile Number Portability (MNP) means a phone prefix alone does not conclusively identify the current network. A number that once belonged to TM may have been ported to another operator. For prefix reference, see the Philippine mobile number prefixes guide.
How to Check TM Balance While Abroad
GlobeOne over Wi-Fi is the most practical option when the account remains accessible. If the user can connect to the internet and log in, GlobeOne works regardless of cellular signal.
ROAM DATA BAL sent to 8080 checks remaining mobile data while abroad. This requires the TM SIM to register on a roaming partner network — SMS and USSD need cellular signal.
A user with zero regular load does not automatically lose roaming signal or the ability to receive incoming texts, subject to active SIM status and partner coverage. However, a new login or newly added GlobeOne account may require OTP reception on the TM number. If there is No Service and the user cannot receive the OTP, account enrollment or recovery may not be possible even when Wi-Fi is available.

Load Was Sent but the TM Balance Did Not Update
Follow this diagnostic sequence before placing a duplicate order:
- Verify the entered number. Confirm the recipient's correct TM mobile number and check the current carrier — Mobile Number Portability means a prefix does not guarantee the network.
- Check seller-side order status. If you used PinoyLoads, check the order-status page or the email notifications for the current processing state.
- Confirm what was purchased. Regular load and direct promo delivery are different products. A regular-load purchase does not automatically activate a data promo.
- Refresh carrier-side status. Have the recipient open GlobeOne and pull down to refresh, or send DATA BAL to 8080.
- Avoid duplicate payment. Do not immediately place another order until the first transaction is understood.
- Contact support if needed. If PinoyLoads shows a problem or the recipient still cannot confirm delivery, contact PinoyLoads support with the order details. For a broader troubleshooting walkthrough, see the load-not-received guide.
A seller receipt confirms that payment was accepted — it does not prove that TM credited the SIM or that a promo activated.
Regular Load Arrived but the Promo Is Not Active
Regular load and promo registration are separate steps. If you purchased regular load rather than a direct promo delivery, the recipient must register an eligible current promo through a supported TM channel — such as GlobeOne, the current *143# menu, or the official keyword listed for that promo — and wait for a carrier confirmation SMS.
Regular load does not automatically convert to EasySURF or any other TM data package. The recipient chooses which promo to register with the available load.
Why You Have TM Load but No Mobile Data
Having regular PHP load does not guarantee internet access. Possible reasons:
- No active data promo. Regular load is open-ended credit; a separate data promo registration is needed for data allocations.
- Promo expired. The data promo may have ended while regular load remains.
- Open-access data exhausted. An app-specific allocation may still be active, but general browsing requires open-access data.
- SurfAlert protection active. SurfAlert is a free TM service that can pause browsing when data is depleted, a promo expires, or the site/app is outside promo coverage.
- Signal or device issue. Device or network settings, weak signal, or network congestion can block data even when allocations exist.
Check GlobeOne and DATA BAL to 8080 before purchasing additional load to confirm what allocations are actually available.
Why a TM Balance Can Decrease Unexpectedly
Not every balance deduction is caused by background data. Possible chargeable activity includes calls, texts, promo registrations, loans, subscriptions, or other offer-specific actions.
When no active data promo is in place and SurfAlert protection is not blocking the session, the current TM regular browsing rate is PHP 5 per 15 minutes. This pay-per-use charge can accumulate quickly.
SurfAlert is a free TM service designed to protect against unexpected browsing charges. Verified commands to 8080:
- SURFALERT ON — activate protection
- SURFALERT CHECK — check current status
- SURFALERT OFF — deactivate protection
- SURFALERT HOLD — temporarily disable protection until midnight
SurfAlert applies to local data use only and does not cover roaming data. If balance deductions continue despite SurfAlert being active, or if you cannot identify the cause, contact official TM support for escalation.
TM Balance Inquiry Not Working
GlobeOne not refreshing: Pull down to refresh the dashboard. Check again about 30 minutes after the last usage. Ensure internet connectivity is available — mobile data or Wi-Fi.
DATA BAL response missing or unclear: Confirm the SIM has cellular signal. Resend the text. If the response still does not arrive, try GlobeOne as an alternative.
*143# menu timeout or changed options: USSD menus can time out on slow connections. Reopen *143# and read the current menu — options may have changed since your last visit.
No Service or roaming registration issue: Balance checking requires either internet access (GlobeOne) or cellular signal (SMS/USSD). When abroad, the SIM must register on a roaming partner network for SMS-based methods.
Ported number or current carrier mismatch: Mobile Number Portability means a TM prefix does not guarantee the number is still on TM. Verify the current carrier.
Permanently disconnected or unregistered SIM: Carrier-side balance checks may fail if the SIM has been disconnected due to inactivity or was never registered under the SIM Registration Act. TM support must confirm the account status, and adding load cannot restore a permanently disconnected SIM.

Conclusion
A TM balance inquiry can mean checking regular load, remaining data, active promo status, promo expiry, or SIM validity — and each has its own method. GlobeOne provides the most comprehensive view across balance types, while DATA BAL to 8080 offers a quick free check for mobile data. Carrier confirmation and expiry SMS messages provide important carrier-side evidence of promo registration and timelines. Regular-load validity, promo expiry, and SIM validity remain separate timers with different rules.
If you need to send load to a TM number, browse the currently supported TM load options on PinoyLoads to see what is available for the entered number.
